Duleepa Wijayawardhana

Duleepa Wijayawardhana is the CEO of Empire Avenue. In Dup’s own words, “Empire Avenue is a virtual stock market where the commodity being traded is your activity and your influence; you can buy/sell/trade virtual shares in anyone else on the site using free virtual currency, rate their influence, create value relationships, seek out and reward content creators and finally be rewarded for participation." 

Dup joined Empire Avenue in June 2010. His talk at Beyond 2010 will interest anyone involved or who wants to be part of the social media world.

It will appeal to content creators active on the web who want to increase their audience and find out what their share price value is for what they do. It will interest content consumers who want to make all the content available on Twitter or elsewhere, relevant.

Most recently, Dup worked for MySQL AB, one of the world’s largest open source software companies and before that BioWare Corp., an electronic entertainment company specializing in creating computer, handheld and console video games such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

He lives in Montreal, Quebec.
